On the Spectrum #71: EXCELSIOR! ...For Science!

The third panel was actually drawn by Michael, last year, at his great-grandmother's house in Boston, after our visit to (you guess it) the Museum of Science.  And yes, yes some of the exhibits are depicted in his picture: The pneumatic tubes; some air-blowing, floaty-ball thing; a periscope and a couple others.  (It was a year ago, what can I say? I don't remember everything either!)  But the one thing that's in EVERY picture he drew?  ELEVATORS and ESCALATORS!  And it was the same last Thanksgiving in the Air and Space Museum in Washington: Whatever else we did, he had to ride the escalator about a hundred times. LOL.

He was even starting to draw the elevators in perspective.  That was pretty cool, odd though it may be!

I used to be scared of esclators. Until I visited the CNN building in Atlanta on a field trip...which has a HUGE esclator(and I didn't really have a choice to get out of line and go find the elevator)
