On the Spectrum #93: Who's Your Alpha, con't

(click to enlarge)

You know how I mention last week that Michael had learned not to leave his food unattended where the dog could get it?

This was how he learned. LOL.  (And yes, that's exactly what he said afterwards.)

Tried a little mock-impressionism with the emotional panels.  Might do that some more, might not, we'll see.  Let me know what you think.  (Be gentle though - first time! LOL)

Love this series! I think the emotional panel works.
(Gently) Under "Spread the Word!" bulletin is misspelled.

@Casdok - Thanks!

@Papa Bear - Thanks! (LOL - It's only been like that for about a year now. *shakes head* Thanks!)

I hope Haley was OK. Michael looked enraged.

Michael WAS pretty angry. When I showed him the picture I asked him if he looked "a little angry" or "a lot angry" and he said "scary angry!" Which, while the drawing IS a bit exagerated here, he kind of WAS. But no, nothing happened. (She WAS smart enough to run away.) Just lots of yelling, followed by tears. And now he thinks it's funny when the dog tries to steal food from anyone else. In fact when he saw the "Nom-nom-nom" panel in #92, he must have laughed for 5 minutes strait. (That was kind of a cool moment / cool reaction to get from him.) :) And, of course he's learned his lesson about leavng food unattended where the the dog can get it. ;)

But yeah, she was OK. :)

I showed this to my 17 year old w/out telling her what it was about. She looked at it and asked me if the boy was autistic. It was so familiar to her from seeing her brother acting in the same way. I guess that means that you did a great job with showing those emotions!

Also she said that it could be her brother and our dog (if the dog was a JRT.)

My pup is smart enough to come and sit under my chair or glue herself to my leg when meltdown occurs.

Thanks for letting me know that! For better or worse, I glad to know that the Autsim part comes through in some of these (for those who are familiar with it, anyway) while at the same time, others (like Wonder-Jake) are atill pretty universal.

And a JRT? I can't imagine. That's like having another kid, isn't it?

Haley and Michael have kind of an uneasy truce now. He's made it clear he doesn't want her aroudn when he's eating, and she's figured out that Jacob is the easier mark anyway. LOL
